PSP OR DS?

Going to vacation to europe in sept i know i am going to be bored as hell in the airplane. i wanna get a handheld to keep me entertained. which one should i get and why guys. i dont really like handhelds either lol. i know the ds has been selling like hotcakes but isnt the psp more powerful. Help me out my fellow OS members

I'd invest in an Ipod Video, but if you're set on a handheld, it depends on what you like.

In sports games and shooters, PSP has the edge.

DS beats it in the other categories.


I'm not particularly fond of either system.

True dat. I have both as well plus the PSP is horrible for battery life. The DS Lite can go around 15-20 hours on a charge plus you can add a Nyko battery pack for another 8 hours.

Did the PSP from LA to Vegas. Horrible battery life.

I have both...I use my DS everyday. It's my alarm clock.

I much prefer PSP. Battery life isn't great, but I have an external battery pack that lets the PSP run off of AAA batteries. Plus I add music and movies to my PSP. I don't usually even play games on it anymore. Pretty much all movies and music.

As mentioned previously, the PSP destroys it if you're interested in sports games. There are some other fun games too. I LOVE SFA3. Amazing game.

However, the DS is just plain fun much like the Wii. It's gimmicky but in a fun way.
