Jistic Hall Of Fame OVR: 28 Join Date: Mar 2003 Location: Chicago, ILL Posts: 16,404	Help, can't d/l demos on XBL! For some reason I can't d/l demos anymore. When I download one, it finishes and says, "Can't D/L such and such demo". If you go into the HDD in the memory section you see the demo with an exclamation point and it says bad or damaged, I forget which. I have no idea why this is happening. But here's the weird part. Are you absolutely sure you have the space to finish the download? Go in and delete some stuff.

Yeah I got 9GB free. I'm clean. It's funny cuz It DOES download them. I go to the system blade and see them downloaded, says 654MB or whatever. I delete it and try again...no go.

Maybe I'll delete the Blue Dragon Demo and try to download one demo...a smaller one, and see if that's it.

Disconnect the HD and then try and D/L something. It should fail. Then reconnect it and try again.

Of course, dis/re-connect the HD with the system off.

I deleted the 1GB Blue Dragon demo and tried to D/L a demo that was 640MB, and it still did the same thing. I have over 10GB free. I'll try the HDD thing tonight. Although I'm not quite sure what that'll do. I have to copy my profile over to a memory stick cuz you can't sign in to XBL w/out the profile. Why don't you create a new profile on the 360 just for the hell of it. This gives you access to demos anyway. Try downloading them from this new account. Then at least you'll know if it's your specific account.

If it is, then you might have to just use the gamertag recovery mode after you wipe the HD clean.

Well I don't get this at all, but I'm just gonna have to pass on the APF demo I guess. Keeps getting stuck at 47% no matter what. Says can't d/l demo.
