This thing is awesome. It looks horrible on a black controller, but that is ok......its well worth it.

I was messaging back and forth with Altimus last night and it was so much better than trying to use the keybd on screen.

I lowered the cursor blinking slider down a bit, but other than that it rocks.

can you just use your regular headset instead of the headset that comes with it? I have a $100 headset the AX360 so obviously I don't want to use that headset that comes with it. what color is the backlight?

It's like a white background light. No clue on the headset, it only has one input, not the 3 prong. I use the wireless headset, works fine with that

is it just like the hole on the bottom of the controller? that's what I plug my ax360 into, the controller bottom, like a 1/8" mm stereo jack input. not sure what you mean about the 3 prong deal.

The bottom of the 360 controller has 3 openings for the original headset, which has 3 prongs, controls the mute and what not. The chatpad has the 3 prongs as well.

Does it need batteries or does it run off the controller's charge?

It's powered by the controller. It's a pretty cool little device. Works great and doesn't interfere with the controller while playing games.

And yes it comes with a headset.
