Transferring PS2 Saves to a PS3?

Yes but I think they need to be in a PS3 format first by using the convertor. You can't grab a PS2 max drive file and copy it to the PS3 to get it to work. I know for NCAA football, one of the roster makers cdj (from NCAA Strategies) created a PS2 roster file for the PS3 ('08) and this method works. I was playing NCAA '07 PS2 on my PS3 with named rosters.

Just a roster with named players.
My father in law is taking me to Nebraska vs Wake Forest on saturday and I'd like to know more of the players on a more personal level. Just basic rosters I guess... or what ever is available.

I couldn't find them on this site but I know NCAA strategies did PS2 rosters for both the PS2 and PS3. I can't access the site at work but try this link:
