I don't know what HDCP means but I think a product has to have that to put out a HD signal.

I would have went bigger but I had just bought a big HD LCD for my living room and I do most of my gaming up in my entertainment room. It's awesome to watch or listen to the TV during games or shows, play the ps3 on HD, then hit the input button on the back to use the computer. About 3 weeks in, my computer completely shut down so I just use the monitor as my gaming TV.

I'm pretty sure Best Buy has the one I bought on sale all the time.
