360 disc tray - anyone have this problem?

About 70% of the time I hit the eject button on my 360, the tray wont open. The console thinks the tray is open but it's not. I have to take off the faceplate and use a paper clip to manually eject the disc.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Funny, I just posted about this exact same problem in the huge 360 Problems thread. It sounds like your problem is more serious, though—usually I just hit the eject button again to "close" it and hit it again and the tray pops out like it should.

I don't have that particular problem, but my tray will sometimes open only about halfway and then close automatically (as it should)... It always works perfectly on the next try, but it does that randomly. My 360 is really weird but still seems to run okay. Dunno what can cause the drive to do that...

It seems to be working now that I keep the faceplate off, and now that instead of turning on the system (and then hitting eject), I just hit eject (which turns on the system automatically)

Still, I wish it worked like normal.

Closed, use the 360 problems thread. I'd suggest giving Microsoft a call and getting a replacement if I were you though.
