Re: Gamestop no longer offering replacement plans on 360?

I've never had any trouble with half.com. Its relatively easy to do. Heck, its easier for me to drop off a packaged game at my post office than try and fight traffic getting into the shopping center that my GameStop is located in.

I could see them them losing a lot of business with this announcement. I hope Gamecrazy does not follow suit, which is who I have my warranty with. I am a person who loves convienence. If it ever comes to GC stopping there warranty I would most definately go to Best Buy for their in-store exchange program. Peace!!!

I don't understand this. Why would Gamestop decide to do this now, when MS is finally putting out more reliable machines? If they were going to do this it should have been done a long time ago.

A lot of people still have the older 360, so they will keep replacing it for a while. And the Elite machine hasn't proven to be totally reliable yet.

I just went to EB and asked about this and the clerks had no clue what I was talking about.(hard to believe) I wanted to make sure they would honnor the warrantys already purchased still. They said yes they do, however if it is within the first year it MUST go through MS first, basically there warranty covers day 366 and on.

I just called to confirm that they have the new HDMI premiums in stock. I'll be cashing in on my warranty before it expires this December.

Re: Gamestop no longer offering replacement plans on 360?

When my current 360 dies, and I assume it will, I'll be buying my next one from Best Buy. I've dealt with Gamestop's horrible customer service and all of their bull for long enough that, I think, it's time to give up on them.

And what I mean by that...I call and ask if they have Elite's in stock. The guy says yes and proceeds to go on a 10 minute rant of why I should buy a ps3 instead. I go: "If I wanted a ps3, I would've asked if you had them in stock. Thanks," and hung up. Really pissed me off.

People still shop at Gamestop? Since they got rid of their one week return policy, I haven't even stepped foot in the spot. Their policy of selling open games is ridiculous.
