My 360 (Help)

I posted something similar to this in the College Hoops forum. I got CHoops 2k8 the day it came out and have played it sporadically since. Its worked fine until last night and today. I constantly get freezing and dirty disc errors. I'm not sure if its the game, 360, or a combination of both.

Anyway, that's a small issue. Over the past week I've had a few games freeze up on me and stop working. Its never happened on my xbox. Also, my xbox tends to make a really loud sound like the disc is stopping (even though it sounds like its scratching). There aren't any marks on any of my discs though. Also, lately navigating through each section of the dashboard has seemed slower and it almost needs to load to go from memory to marketplace, to xbox live, etc. Do you guys think my 360 is about to die or is there anything else I could do?

With CHoops, it could be a coincedence and it could be the game, I don't know. Is my 360 about to be done for?

Same thing happened to me, I posted about it in the CH section. I know exactly what you're talkin about. However, I have two gashes in my disc on the inside of it. I returned it, but now I'm afraid to put the new one back in. Especially since my 360 killed my NCAA football game this morning.

Same thing happened to me. It had been happening for a while, so I finally took advantage of my Gamestop warranty the other day and picked up a new one. Much much quieter and no freezing issues anymore. Plus they gave me Forza 2 and Marvel: UA for free!

Yeah...I don't really have the warranty other than the Microsoft one. I really don't want to send it in and wait 3-4 weeks to get it back. Anybody else think I should just ship it to MS and say I got the RROD?

That's what I'm gonna do, tell them that it can't read disks, and puts scratches in them. When I did it for my first one, I got it back in about 2 weeks.

Might just go to Wal-Mart, buy a new one, and than do the old switcharoo and return the busted one, I think Wal-Mart can afford to take the hit.

i think u can trick them into the fact where they'll give u store credit back but not actual cash.
