Because I've never had good experiences with them. I had my tube die on my 34XBR960, then I had the new tube develop spotting issues. I have 2 other friends who have also had other issues, one with an LCD projection, one with a normal LCD.

To me, they are way over priced, and I'd never buy one again. I can get a much nicer, at worst similar set, for a lot less money with other manufacturers.

I will agree with you that there overpriced a bit, but I bought one in Feb of this year, and I love it, LCD rear projection, I got an extended warranty so i really don't have many worries, but the TV is great since I had it, and gaming has been a joy with it.
