If I had known before I bought my 360 all the problems that would come with it, I certainly would've gotten a PS3.

As far as this disc, I need to figure out how to get it replaced. So freaking frustrating.

So I guess people are still having tons of hardware issues with the 360?

I'd rather a 360 to a PS3 but I just don't feel like guaranteeing myself eventual frustration/annoyance.

Re: 360 problems, discuss them here (Part 2)

I love my 360, I had one die on me that I got on launch day, but they replaced it with no problems. In my mind I can't justify the expense of the ps3.

well i paid 399 for my first 360, bought something like 25 games, and have live set on monthly renew for some reason. I sold the majority of my games for some extra hawaii sepnding money, and pretty much switched to using gamefly.

I will sell my refurbished 360 on ebay along with the games and accessories I have to pay back the credit card charge I made for a ps3. I don't need both, and I don't want a 4th 360 really. The cost really isn't that much different than what most people payed for a 360. The ps3 I got off ebay was around $415 total, and it comes with a game.

Re: 360 problems, discuss them here (Part 2)

I'm so frustrated I can hardly type.

My 360 RROD'd on 12/22, I submitted a repair request the next day, and I still haven't recieved a freaking coffin yet!

I've called several times, but I keep getting the same answer: "please allow 10-15 business days for your request to be processed". Thanks to the holidays it's only been 8-9 days so far.

I'm convinced my 360 did this on purpose. It deliberately chose to die at the absolute worst possible time.

After reading this, I needed to add my experience, so far.

My 360, MF Jan 2006 finally died on 12/30/07. I immediately called microsoft and they started the return process. I recieved my "coffin" on Tuesday January 8th, 2008. It is scheduled to arrive at Microsoft HQ on Tuesday 1/15/2008.

I am figuiring that I will get my replacement back anytime after January 22nd, but who knows? I know that Microsoft is doing the 3 year warranty and all, but if they built a solid product in the 1st place (look at their operating systems), I would not be so aggravated.

I can not imagine how the people who are on their 4th, 5th 6th, etc..... 360s must be feeling.

I will update later on how this plays out.

Thanks for listening,
