Re: PS3 audio and video connection

You won't have to buy any additional cables for the audio. The PS3 will come with a composite (Yellow/Red/White) cable. Just simply connect the audio from it to your Bose system and tell the PS3 to use the audio for the A/V connection instead of the audio from the HDMI.

Re: PS3 audio and video connection

Speaking of audio I have my PS3 hooked up via optical. So exactly what audio can I access from movies. From what I've read this is what optical allows but I am not sure: regular DD.51, lossless DD and DTS and TrueHD.

Now what I can't get access: anything uncompressed thru PCM because of bandwidth issues where it's only run thru HDMI. Am I correct in this?

One more question with RGB video option. My PS3 detected my TV to be limited rather than full. I have a CRT RPTV. What's the differnce between the 2 because right now my picture is stunning so I don't want to screw around with it too much but is full better?
