Looking to jump to PS3, looking for some answers/help...

360 owner here, and as a baseball fan above all else, I need a solid baseball game, and the 2K's latest offering is underwhelming, disappointing, and just not a whole lot of fun to play - almost laborious.

So, The Show has grabbed my attention, and just will not let go. My question is, is this a good time to purchase a PS3? Does it look like there is a price drop in the near future? How should the new controller effect the timing of the purchase? Those kinda things.

I have owned a 360 since it was released and also was fed up with 2ks lack of putting together a decent baseball game. I bought a PS3 just for MLB the Show and honestly...its worth every dime, not only do you get a system that wont cause you problems but you also get a Blu-ray player and one of the top two best sports game to date. I haven't read about the bugs myself, im keeping myself away from that thread but im not sure if SCEA will release a patch as im a new PS3 owner myself. All in all is the game worth dropping $460? yes i could of use the money else where but i am very happy with my buy and so will you...being big on baseball is just adding frosting to the cake.

I'm about to make the same jump. I found a guy on craigslist willing to drop $280 on just my premium console and two controllers. After that, I think I'll just go to Gamestop and trade in Rock Band, Guitar Hero III, Halo 3, and a couple other games and pay the difference for a PS3 and The Show.

It's a hard choice man. I have both but I've been leaning in getting rid of the 360 because of the reliability but the Xbox has better online and achievements bring me back.

If you can afford it, get both I would say and once PS gets up to speed in online you can always get to rid of the 360.

Unless of course games like Halo, Gears, Mass Effect, etc., are must buys.
