Off topic: HDMI

Ordering 2 now, I want a longer one for my PS3 and I figure it'd be better to use HDMI for my cable box...

That will work just fine.If you have an AV receiver with HDMI in,run the cable from the PS3 to the receiver,then another HDMI to your display.
You won't need a separate cable for audio,and you will get lossless sound for Blu-Ray movies.
