360 vs Wii

I'm asking myself the same thing right now... and I'm actually considering the same thing Dre is... but only because I want a Wii again. Would love to have access to Paper Mario again.

The only reason I'd trade it in would be to not worry about paying for the Wii... it would be almost a straight trade.

I don't need or want the money for it. Im just thinking of getting a Wii for the family and because i have the PS3 which i pretty much game on the most.

I am pretty much the same as injun except, I dont get how he's not playing GTA IV more than anything right now.

It would offset some cost for the wii, although I don't know how much.

Trust me i hate the thought of getting rid of the 360 but i know the Wii would get more use than my 360 is right at the moment.

Just keep it and get a Wii. Then you can get the game you want for any system.

a). I have a 2 year old who is infatuated with watching me play Smash Brothers and Mario Kart

b). I am not playing GTA4 while he is around because I don't need him repeating ANYTHING in that game


So while I am not disappointed that I am not playing it as much, there is a good reason

I too have the PS3 and the Wii, and I feel totally content. My son is enamored with Wii Sports. He's been playing it every day for the past few months. He loves Big Brain Academy, but little does he know it's only a rental. I actully took out a game pass from BB to try several of the Wii titles that have interested me, but I've been reluctant to buy. Mario Kart is a blast and a nice diversion from GTA and MLB The Show. The Wii is a more get up and get involved family kind of console, whereas the PS3 and the 360 is a more serious gaming console.

With regards to the PS3, I absolutely love it. First off, I rarely game online, and if I do at least it's a free service to do so. Secondly, none of the A+ games on the 360 appeal to me (Halo 3, Forza 2, Mass Effect, etc) appeal to me whatsover. Like you Kdre, I am not a big sci-fi gamer either. Games like Uncharted, Hot Shots Golf, R&C interest me more. The multi platform games that originally had the advantage on the 360 now are pretty evenly balanced. And who can forget blu-ray? I've watched a large number of blu-ray and dvds.

After seeing that virtual console list, i've decided to get rid of the 360. I just need to find out if Gamestop will give me enough to about break even or if i have to sell it on ebay (which id rather not).
