What's the fastest and best way to sell a console?

I called Gamestop and told them i'd give them my core with the HDD and an extra wired controller and that only comes out to about 120-125 bucks total from them.

They must be smoking something. They only want to give 90 bucks for the console, 15 bucks for the HDD and 10 or 15 for the controller.

Screw that. Without having to wait on Ebay is there a better way to taking it somewhere and selling it for at least twice that?

xbox 360 has a horrible trading value used because of its reputation. Even on ebay, you're looking at $250 at most on a good day for the console. It'll probably be a little less for you, as you have an upgraded core when you bought the HDD. The 360 will also cost $15-20 to pack it good enough and for tracking/confirmation.

Craig's list is easy, but you just have to wait for someone to email you with an offer.

craigslist: los angeles classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events

los angeles electronics classifieds - craigslist

los angeles games/toys for sale classifieds - craigslist

Look around and get an idea, at a quick glance I saw an Xbox 360 for $230.

Re: What's the fastest and best way to sell a console?

I figured that RROD crap lowered the consoles value, but about 250 for a core with the HDD from my RROD premium and 2 wired controllers hopefully would net me about that much.

I could use the cash to serve as the largest amount for a wii.

btw, this sucks but i cant view craigslist from work...ugh

Well, wired controllers are worth nothing. The Core is also worth little because they won't attach the HDD to it to sell it.

My Gamestop is giving $75 for the 120 GB HDD though.

IMO, 250.00 isnt probably a realistic amount to expect. I sold my Halo 3 Xbox 360 with all the extras for 295.00 and the offers I got through Craigs List were ridiculous, people offering 250.00 for it and below, I got lucky and finally sold it though. I would expect to get around 200-215 for it but your area might be different then mine and they might be willing to spend more to get it. Hope you get out of it what you want to get out of it.
