They must have changed that somewhere along the line... the Arcade or "Standard" system used to come with a controller that had a cord.

Yeah, I was giving the info I knew from the "Core" system. And I thought that the original Arcade came corded. But that's cool they went with the wireless controller. I had that plug and charge kit before the recharging station came out. I hated it. I'll never buy a corded controller again. very "last-gen!"

Well, I had a feeling it would sit the weekend. I thought that UPS moved packages on weekends and just didn't deliver until weekdays.

Alright, couple questions. I have an Elite i bought back in 2007. I just started getting this red checkered pattern on my screen which would freeze any game i was playing. I then got the RROD. Took off hard drive, turned console back on and it works. Now, i figure its just a matter of days until it craps out again.

I already called M$ and have the coffin being sent out. Here are the questions A) Is it possible to get a console in my hands first before i send mine out, so i dont go weeks without one? B) How long does the process usually take from door to door?

Why are you having a coffin sent? They just sent me a label that I printed out. It's probably gonna add a good 3-4 days to get the box to you. I'm at 12 days right now. It'll be delivered tomorrow, right at 1 day short of two weeks, so it isn't too bad. But yeah, the box being sent will slow your roll a bit.

A) Not from Microsoft. You could buy another 360 and then just return it when you get your replacement/refurb back from MS.
B) I'd say 2 weeks average.

Ive got my brother's console right now, but i didnt know i could just get the label sent. I had some customer service guy i couldnt understand, who couldnt answer any questions i had, so when he said they send out a box, i just said fine.

My brother is gunna be MIA for a week, so i have his console, but didnt want to have to put him out too long. Do you get back a refurbished console? If i send in an elite, i assume i get an elite back.
