i hate achievements that give you a weird number of achievement points like 11 or something like that, it just screws with how your gamer score looks.

I've got that one, from Blitz. I gave up on the game and didn't round out the number. Doesn't bother me that much really, makes 111,111 something to strive for.

i hate achievements you get just for progressing in a game, because there is nothing special needed to get them.

Hey now, I enjoyed getting achievments for completing chapters in Ninja Gaiden 2 after the boss spent the pass half hour kicking my *** around the stage.

Really? I like those a lot more than ones that have you do something dumb that no one would ever do just to get the achievement.

I can see how the achievements for just beating King Kong suck. The game is mostly horrible, and can be beaten in hours. But beating games like Ninja Gaiden or CoD2 is what makes achievements fun. I wouldn't have tried so hard on CoD4's mile high club either if it weren't an achievement.
