But even if you don't pay, you get all the benefits of XBL except online game play and demos hit a week later but you still get messaging, gamertags, and all that.

No you don't get all of them,depends on the game and you can't reply to messages from your PC.

Can make your own PS3 tag at tripletags.com but you have to update it yourself.

You know what I do like about the PS3, it lasts longer then 6 months.
