Turtle Beach X4 Headphones

well decided to splurge and picked up the X4s. They are a little pricey but the 5.1 sounds absolutely amazing. I was a little worried about hearing Chat and game sounds but it works awesome.

I played COD: World at War and the sound blew me away. I could even hear the Grenades drop off of people after i killed them so i wont have to worry about that stupid martyrdom perk. I cant wait to play a good sports game with these headphones...

NBA 2k9 sounds fantastic with them. You can hear little nuances like players on the court clapping after clutch shots.

I have the X3. Great sound quality, not so great chat sound. They're great if you plan to just use them for game audio, but as a voice communicator, you can find something better.

Yep, I have two sets, the HD417's and some of the cheaper ones, I can't remember the model, like pb2 or something like that.

The X3s are utter tripe for chatting. Sounds more like static filled squawk box.

How is the bass? I know it's impossible to recreate the boom from a real subwoofer in headphones but is there truely a bit of thump? Can you "feel" explosions?
