Cracked PSP Screen

My nephew dropped his PSP and the screen is cracked and the picture know longer shows up. Anyone know how much Sony would charge to fix it? I see I can find a replacement on ebay. Would it be pretty easy to fix?

I am sure Sony would charge at least $100. I think you could get the LCD unit and the faceplate cover for about $65. I know the connection to the motherboard is delicate. If it breaks your f'd!

Re: Cracked PSP Screen

PSP's are very easy to fix. You can buy a new screen on Ebay for $20 (for 1000 series, 2000 series are a little more)and all you need is a little screwdriver and a soldering iron and you can replace anything in it. Go to youtube and look up removing psp screen (or display). Be careful unpluging the displays ribbon cable. I need to replace my UMD drive laser and the part is only $15.88.

I can fix it, I do this on the side, I fixed over 30 psp screens. It's really simple to fix if your up to it.
