when are we going to see a completely new portable console from sony and nintendo with better graphics, and improved features? I think microsoft should also get in on the competition

I have a sneaking suspicion that Apple will be a major player in the 'next-gen' portable consoles. The following iterations of the iphone/ipod touch are going to be more and more gamer friendly.

All I know is that for a next-gen portable console to be successful, it needs to bury the UMD/Cartidge interface for a G3/edge/wifi content delivery method.
