Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. Mine finally bit the bullet after two and a half years, and I know for sure I'm going to get some piece of **** back.

Just checked mine, and I see I have the Xenon/Zephr. This is my 3rd 360 and it was taken off the sales floor at Best Buy (I have the Best Buy warranty....I haven't used the MS one). I'll have to make sure I renew my BB warranty before it runs out in case this one craps out too. Freakin' MS.

I got the new RE Elite Red Edition on friday and it comes with the jasper. The jasper is the best motherboard for the new 360 and should not experience rrod anymore. So i should be fine with this one unless later down the road a new edition comes available.

Until Microsoft has a new case and new cooling system for the 360 then I don't see the RROD going away... Jasper is a better revision, but it's not the fix it that people hope.

Just google xbox 360 jasper RROD and you'll find youtube videos of systems that are already dead. it sucks.

Its a good thing I got a 2 year warranty then. Shouldnt the chance of me copying my games to the harddrive eliminate the RROD as well.

Like Dale said, it should help, but that doesn't mean the RROD won't happen.
