Did I make a mistake? I thought very long about this...I'll keep this short and to the point:

1) I don't play online...I hopped on XBL once every 3 or 4 months if I got bored, but I mainly used online for roster updates, add ons (like Lost and Damned) and patches.

2) PS3 and XBOX 360 pretty much have the same games.

3) Baseball. Baseball. Baseball. Been playing baseball games since the 80's, easily my favorite video game to play - you all know how that story goes...

so did I just trade for an inferior gaming system? will i regret this in the long run?

I sure did.

I didn't actually get rid of my 360 thankfully but somewhat abandon it in the sense of getting everything I possibly could on the PS3 instead and would've sold the 360 had it not been for the RB DLC that would've cost as much to replace as I would've got for selling the 360.

Hope you didn't trade it for a 20 or 60.

PS3 isn't a bad system, but I like the 360 more. I made the switch but eventually realized the error of my ways and came back home where I belong.

Those were two of my choices when I decided to switch and I dont have any regrets

Unless the first party games and online thing is important to you (playing with all of your friends)is a big deal to you, you really dont have much to care for

If you don't play online, and baseball is your favorite type of game, Show or not, at least you have 2 choices on the PS3. Based on the criteria you posted, I'd say you won't regret it and made a good choice.

You made the right choice.

There is oft repeated lie about the PS3...

"The PS3 doesn't have games." That is a lie. I have too many games to list here, and I still can't keep up.

I used to have a 360, and had 2 RROD and said that is enough for me. Never regretted my purchase since.

Oh and the PS3 has Killzone 2, the best looking, and arguably the best FPS to date.
