360 optimal 'net set up?

Was just wondering if you guys who are behind a router find it best to dedicate ports to the 360 or leave that alone? Also, what are the best configuration settings in the 360's ctrl panel, if any? Thanks

Re: 360 optimal 'net set up?

I used to have my 360 set-up with a static IP and used port forwarding in my router so I could get the NAT open, but after the last fall update, the port forwarding didn't work anymore(NAT became moderate) and now I have the 360 use DHCP. now the NAT is open using DHCP unlike before, so no worries for me.

on my 360 right now, the network settings are at default, no changes.

just a reminder, with the new dashboard update, when you do the Xbox Live test, it wont tell you what your NAT is if it's open. but if it's moderate or strict will pop up a message telling you so. so if you test the connection and it doesn't mention anything about the NAT, you should be good to go(it'll be open).
