Are the new arcade jaspers quieter?

or is just as loud as the others? I also would like to know how many games can you install on a 20gig. I don't play online, I just play madden, nba live and fight night. I have a ps3, but I like the 360 controller but do not like how the 360 freezes and DDE.

I don't have a jasper, but mine was made in July 2008 and runs quiet. I also don't know what you mean about freezes and DDE, I've had a 360 since January 2007 and even with numerous RROD's, I have never had problems like that. Disk errors aren't really a widespread problem with the 360.

I can't install to the HDD anymore because I've almost filled my 20 gig HDD up, but I don't think you can even get two games installed on a 20 gig HDD. The HDD really has about 14 gigs of space,and a game is over 7 gigs alone.

I had a Pro from Dell until I returned it. They were Falcon. I bought the Jasper that I have from GameStop and it is noticeably quieter. I can almost tune it out as I play whereas the Falcon units I was worried about it.

The Jasper Arcade I got has been trouble free and better in every way. Still, I've only had it for 7 months, the two premiums took 12 to fail.

I'm not sure about the Jaspers,but in regards to how many games you can install....the limit would be 2 games. This also depends on how much other stuff you have on the hd though (arcade games,dlc and so on)

But I do know it IS possible to have 2 games installed,as I've done it before...Iirc correctly...I had Madden 09 and NBA 2k9 installed at the same time.

After having 2 Zyphers and a Faclon, this Jasper is VERY quiet when the system is on. With a game disc on it's noticeable, but with installs that takes care of the issue.

The 20gig HD only offers 13 gig of space (since the other chunk is for the system to cache data files and support for the BC updates). Most games are 6 gig on average to install. So 2 games at max. And that's saying that you won't be downloading any extra content since you won't have the space.

Honestly is the controller really enough reason to switch? Especially if you don't even play online?

Don't get me wrong, I'm no fanboy, and plan on adding a 360 to my collection here sometime, but if those are the only three games you play and online isn't important, plus you are already worried about the 360 failing on you... again, you really want to do all that just for a different controller?

Just seems like an odd reason I guess.
