Checked all my disk today and they have this odd ring around the middle of the disk.This is frustrating because i've invested hundreds in my setup, so is my 360 defective?

Is this the first time it happened? Usually that ring happens if you were to move the Xbox while it was playing the disc. Or if you didn't move it, then I would say your drive is defective.

No its always been in the safe spot.Wow defective drive and i've only had it one year.Will micosoft even fix it for me?

Did you register your Xbox on xbox.com? I think they cover everything for a year. The ROD and e74 is covered for three years.

If you're out of date than they charge you but I'm not sure what the fee is.

It's a 360, so the chances that it is defective are pretty high to begin with.

LOL, that was my first thought when I read the thread title. If you think it might be defective, then it probably is.

My 360 leaves a deep cut in discs that makes them unplayable. I have to install every game that I plan on playing to my hard drive.
