Any chance the price will come down at all in the near future for 60 and 120 gig hard drives?

Re: Xbox HD
I don't know if I can go into detail here, but you can put a regular 2.5" laptop SATA drive in the enclosure and flash the firmware for pretty cheap. I bought a 160GB drive (you can only use 120GB of it, though) for $36 shipped on eBay a couple of months ago. Only certain models work. You can read a lot more on it on Xbox-Scene.com.
I was able to transfer all my saves and everything from my 20GB drive with almost no problems. My Perfect Dark Zero save was the only thing that didn't work on the new drive. -
Re: Xbox HD
I did the same thing, but I can see why people don't bother. I got the same 120 GB HDD ability, but for $50.
anyways, I'm sure MS will drop the prices soon. They have Live growing, and the 360 games on demand launching soon. It makes no sense for these features to exist without cheap storage.Comment

Re: Xbox HD
Yeah they need cheap storage, and soon. I expect it will happen. Also, if there is a "Natal Xbox" SKU this fall, I expect it to come with a big hard drive, maybe bigger than any of the ones they have available now for the 360.Comment

Re: Xbox HD
I just think these prices are such a joke but my space is running out with all my dlc content.
Thanks guys for the suggestions!

I feel ya Ry, being an avid rock band player, and through other DLC (maps for halo, cod, gta dlc), my 20 GB hard is full. when the next GTA episode is released, I won't be able to fit it on my hard drive.Comment
