question about xbox 360 elite and rrod

i keep hearing rumors oh the elite is the best and it doesnt get rrod what so ever... is that true? if so i might get it i was holding myself for the 360 with maybe natal bundle in it but if the elite is good i might get it because i have a lot of money on my gamestop giftcard

False. There is nothing different about the Elite except the color and bigger HDD.

well just came from gamestop i asked him about the whole RROD if i get a 1 year warranty from you guys will you just replace the system and he said no you have to send it to MS thats pretty BS.

I think the guy is BSing you. The GameStops around here will exchange in store but you can only do it once and then you got to buy a new warranty.

All 360s can RROD. But it's a cheap, easy fix if you know what you're doing. Just keep your receipt and Microsoft will warranty against the RROD for 3 years after purchase.

It's false. My elite got the RROD this year after about 18 months of use. MS is still offering the 3 year free repair if your box gets the RROD. Now is as good time as any to buy one, especially with the newer chipsets which are supposed to make the system run cooler and be more reliable.

Your best bet is to buy the Arcade model and a hard drive separetly. The Arcade's are the newest 360 models, the ones with the Jaspers in them. They run quieter and cooler, and SUPPOSEDLY, have less chance of getting the RROD.
