lol if you look on the online manual it says nothing about it hurting the system if u turn it off.

for one i dont like to use power when i dont need to and second i dont need to get up to turn it off its on my desk and i sit at my desk to play it so yeah.

Notice Check that the system is in standby mode (power indicator red) before turning it off using the main power switch on the system rear. If you turn off the system using the main power switch when not in standby mode, it may cause malfunction, data loss or corruption, or damage to the system.

i guess you are crazy dick before giving someone advice make sure you know what your talking about first. if you dont believe me go to that link i put up and see for yourself.

I have a launch 60GB PS3 and I don't think it's ever been powered down . Also I seriously don't know a single person who totally shuts down their PC when they are done using it...

oh well? whats that about it? just because i turn mine off doesnt make it wrong people do turn off their pc's just google it if you dont believe me lol. google is your friend and by the looks of it the sony support website should be some of you guys friends aswell.

No one is arguing with you, they are just informing you that you don't need to hit the switch every time.

For some reasoning you're disagreeing with posters who are just trying to give you pertinent information.
