No error message, the game just never loads and in the area where the game would be displayed on the XBpx Dashboard, it just says 'Open Tray', as if there was nothing in the tray. Replacing the DVD Drive is pretty easy to do for all versions but mine which requires a little solder + elbow grease, but even it isn't that hard to figure out thanks to the video from www.xboxslave.com

okay, I'll look into that. Mine just loaded the game up then froze. It happened about 3 times.

If it continues doing that, try clearing the system memory. I have the same problem on my 1st system, which is why I got the second one.
