The 3 "extra" accounts get associated with the main console. What that means I have no idea....Possibly that if the main console ever stops subscribing to LIVE the 3 "extra" consols all get booted off live possibly ???

Maybe if you signed up for new accounts on your buddy's console. Even if that works, is it worth the hassle?
Like EG said, you can usually find 1 yr cards on sale for $30 to $40. Amazon.com had 1 yr live for $30 last week. Buy.com $35 this week.

why would it be a hassle? from how i read it, i can create 3 more live accounts on my main 360. then, they can do a account recovery for the gamertags and boom, they in business. doesnt seem to bad i guess.. but you are right about the price, you can get those cards for 30 bucks..

Yes your buddies could use them but they are all tied to 1 credit card. So whomever holds the primary account will get charged for anything purchased on the 3 other 360s.
