Permanent mute through the guide recent players list. Use it, love it. Or just avoid the nonsense all together, and set voice and text chat to friends only.

Oh, i figured it out..there's a way to change privacy settings so that i only hear friends. Took way to long to find something like this.

if you change the settings doesnt that effect some games like MW2 or am i off base? I forget there was some reason why I turned off that option again.

^^^Yea, you change the settings and you rarely hear others outside you friends lists. Sometimes I hear people in my friends Xbox live party, but for the most part, no randoms, especially in game
