I don't mind the increase. I think this is the first time they increased since its inception, isn't it?

Personally I think the outrage should be toward developers charging $59.99 for games that are clearly below standard titles.

Re: MS changes the price of XBL Gold

How did they even come up with this?

"Well online is free on the PC,Wii and PS3,how can we compete with that? We already took away getting demos on time for silver and charge people money for DLC they were entitled to get for free. What else can we do?"
"I know! Let's raise the price!"
"How's that supposed to help?"
"We'll just remind them we've got facebook, netflix and twitter!"
"Uhh...aren't those free too?"
"Well yes but not on XBL!"
"Makes sense? Go for it I guess."

question..

with the price increase... do we now get Hulu Plus for free? bc it doesnt mentioned that we have to pay for Hulu. so i wonder if the price increase per gold member gets you Hulu Plus now?

It won't do anything to sales really, as it's only $10 more for people already paying at or around $50 for Live. MS knows that stuff like Halo Reach and CoD will ensure millions of people continue to pay for Gold memberships.

I'm not a fan of how this generation has been all about squeezing every nickel and dime from consumers though. I eventually stopped seeing the value in Live, and quit paying for it like a year ago. I can get plenty of online play in on the PC and ps3 for free, although I imagine Sony will charge next gen too.

no, you will have to pay an additional sub for Hulu Plus, just like Netflix.

Ripoff

They pretty much just want a piece of the pie since Sony is charging 9.99 for PS Plus per month

ESPN... who wants to pay extra money for ESPN?
