They always get mad when you aren't really giving them you attention. This happens all the time to me. She starts in and I kind of ignore it, then she keeps on, I get killed or something bad happens in the game because I was distracted, then I give a curt answer and then she gets mad and wonders why a grown man plays video games.

Because I like it. Go watch a reality show and leave me alone for an hour.

Re: So what are your gaming pet peeves/rules.

-I always..ALWAYS.. put my receipt from the game that I bought inside the case along with the instruction manual.

-I use the restroom before I start up a game.

-I sit on the edge of my chair or foot rest.

-If the game goes into OT or is close at the end, I stand up.

-Door always closed.

-Music blaring, usually my metal mix (sports games only)

Re: So what are your gaming pet peeves/rules.

I don't have any to serious, but since NCAA/Madden 08 I stay off those boards until I have played the game for at least a month or more. I have learned that I don't notice many of the complaints and glitches that get mentioned constantly.

If I stay on the boards and read the different threads, I tend to look for all the bad stuff.

Lol yeah, my gf moved in a month ago and we've had a few instances of this. I was playing DC Universe Online and was at a intense boss battle right when she got home and wanted to show me 3 outfits she got for cheap for when we go on a cruise with family in July lol.

She waited until I was at a stopping point, but it was funny how the timing works. 90% of the time I'm usually able to pause or whatnot, but sometimes it just doesn't work out.

I can't complain about her though, she's pretty good at letting me have gaming time when I want, and I make sure to do stuff with her as well...
