    Black Xbox 360 Slim

    Guys I need some feedback.

I have two xbox 360's an old PRO that I've had for a while and I fear that it is going to blow up soon, along with an arcade.

I am heading off to college next month and will be taking it with me.

Would it be wise to trade in my older one for one of the new 250 GB harddrive Black Xbox 360's.

If so can you guys throw some pro's and con's at me.

compared to what you got, i wouldn't say there are any cons! built in harddrive and wireless adapter coupled with the slim 360, according to some, is way more reliable!

out with the old, in with the new!!!

Get the new one and get it fast. Gamestop has extra trade in credit if you trade old hardware for new or plenty of places have $50 gift cards with the purchase. Don't buy with looking for a deal. Alot of them out there.

Going through the same thing actually. I've had the Halo 3 edition since the winter of 2007. It's already died on me twice(warranty) and I was wondering if I should go out and purchase the newer model...

I was skeptic about spending 300 bucks, but it was definitely worth it.

It's extremely quiet. That 250 GB memory holds a ton of stuff and then some. I don't really use the wireless but its there.

The size helps out alot, smaller, lighter, thinner, better.

            It was worth it man.

Agree with everyone. I love the slim so much. It also is more powerful and can download while you play your game, which my old Xbox could not do.

Plus having the 250 gigs is beautiful..as is the utter silence of the machine.

I'm going to make the purchase, but I'm going to grab the 4GB system and buy a hard drive from Amazon.

                  Found one cheaper than this?

I'm seriously thinking of trading my old Elite in for the 4gb system and going this route for a bigger HD. Seems like a good bargain if you don't care about playing old Xbox games on your 360.

Nope that's the cheapest one I've seen. I thought about buying it, but I still play NFL 2K5 and San Andreas so I'll just buy the Microsoft HD since it's $76.

I'd be careful with these cheap-o HDD's, they are not the official MSFT ones. Been reading around that MSFT is banning people's consoles cause of these.

For $70, I'd go this route. I bought one from this guy, waiting for it to still arrive. It's the official MSFT HDD which probably fell off a truck at this price. I did converse with him via email and he confirmed that these are legit MSFT HDD's. One way to test them is by trying to run an XBX 1 game off of them, the official HDD's have the emulation on the HDD which the knockoffs don't.

The one from Amazon has good reviews. People even says it shows up on the dashboard as a Microsoft so who knows. Might just go with the $299 console when I go into Gamestop tomorrow and take advantage of their $50 extra trade in credit. With the elite, extras and games I should be well over $200. Might as well put the rest with it and be done with it.

I got a 4GB slim a few weeks ago and I love it, it's pretty much whisper quiet. If I had the means at the time I'd have gotten the one with the 250 HD already in it.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Can you give us an update on the condition once it arrives? I might buy one from that guy too.

I will for sure. He has been getting good reviews, we shall see if this comes packaged as retail.
