Agree completely. This is why, though I love my iPhone dearly, I will never be able to play my sports games on it.

Max Payne on my Iphone is the best example of why a touch screens aren't enough. Compare the 3rd person shooter controls of Unit 13 (Vita) to the IOS Max Payne controls and it's not even a contest.

Then what's the point? If I'm going to use a controller and look at a display, I'm going to use my console, not sit at a table with a tablet propped up.

If I have to carry a controller around for a proper gaming experience, then this still isn't a portable gaming device.

Re: Xbox 720

The point is Microsoft realizes that the PC, Console, Tablet, Movie Viewer, MP3 Player/etc will converge eventually and they are trying to get a jumpstart on the competition. It sounds like they really were focusing heavily on privacy with this, so my guess is it's better to get a foot out of the door first and patch it along the way rather than wait too long trying to plan it right.

1. It outputs video to your TV if you're at home. It is a console, in a way.

2. It would be sweet for long car rides.

I guess I could see that for kids in the car. As an adult that would be useless for me though, since I'm always the one driving
