26,000 backers and $3,380,000 raised in two days.

Donations don't seem to be slowing down any.

Man, I want to donate a 100$ for this, but at the same time, what happens if this thing flops?

I'm leary due to the "Free to play" claim.
When looking deeper into it, it says
There will be free demos gamers can play and with full games there will be DLC they can buy. (Or something to that effect)

Need to see the kind of $ the DLC is and make sure the "Full" games aren't really short and to get the full experience you have to buy $40.00 of DLC. (just throwing out a number)

We'll see. Certainly will follow this

People will get some use out of this, I just have my doubts it will be for any worthwhile gaming and it might not end up the best device for other uses (media, web, etc). I see a lot of people putting ridiculous hopes and aspirations towards this thing that it couldn't possibly ever meet, and people getting caught up in these pipe dreams and hype I can't imagine not being disappointed.

IMO it doesn't make sense to get in now...the system will be under 100 when it drops anyways, and I don't care about the username reservation stuff.

Why not wait to see the games that come out for it first? Just don't see the need to Kickstart this, but then again many kickstarters are just a waste of money.

I agree .. Dropping $100 on a crap shoot isn't my cup of tea. The types of games available I don't know if I'd play too much anyways on a TV.

But whether or not it's my cup of tea isn't why I say this is virtually impossible .. Just a few SIMPLE things that make me smh

Distribution and manufacturing... Let's say for these first 30,000 customers who kickstarted getting a system (payed $100 + shipping) , and they're at 5million bucks, they'd have to make each machine and distribute each machine for <$166 to get any profit. And I just don't see HUGE price breaks on 30,000 of the assembly parts ordered at one time to get it under that and manufacture and distribute... So I just don't see this happening, but hell I'm not a startup console with a goal of 950,000 to make this thing happen. Just a scam imo.
