That, plus it pays itself. Free games, discounts, storage. Duh.

While I do feel that Xbox Live got way more right first, I do think they need to evolve more and be like PS Plus...

I don't feel I get as much now from Live that I would Plus.

Live just established a culture that somehow has stuck, largely thanks to the tribal mentality of gamers and a big lead in meaningful markets IMO. It's a direct byproduct of Sony playing catchup most of this gen. If the PS3 launched out of the gate with all of these features and the benefits of PSN+, going against Live in it's current form, I don't think I would have ever bought an X-Box. Paying for multiplayer and things like access to Netflix? Crazy talk. Instead, it's what all of my friends have, and some of us are selling/have sold our PS3s while keeping our Xbox (and Live) as the next gen approaches.

That is something that really irks me about XBL and why I'm considering moving to Sony for next gen. I happened to be on an active Gold subscription when I signed up for Netflix. I was pissed when I let my Gold subscription run out and then found out that I couldn't watch Netflix anymore. I can watch it on my laptop, tablet, smartphone, and Wii for free, but I have to pay MS to watch it on my Xbox? Really turns me off.
