50 or 55 inch tv for gaming

Not sure if this is the right place for this thread but here goes.

Im about to get a new tv already know which one to get only
    Not sure about the size.
I dont know if I should go with 50 or 55. Im leaning to a 55 im only afriad it might be to be to game on. I like the idea though.
Dont know if ppl have experience with gaming on a 55 inch and have not problem with it.
I have a 32 inch now and it really needs an upgrade.

Depends on the size of the room and how far back your gonna be sitting.
It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

Get bigger. I was in the market for a 46-55 inch and bought an LED Samsung 55" and love it so hard. I actually bought a 46" exact same tv as well, but saw a good deal for the bigger one and returned the 46-er. You will get used to it fast. I'm 100% pumped I went big on boxing day.

I sit quite far away, but don't care if my next place if I'm even 6 feet closer. I'm currently really far at about 12-13' away. That def matters, but also keep in mind that 55" is not the same as old big screen tv's of that size. a 55" 16x9 TV is the equivalent of a 42-46" range of 4x3 tv's. 55" sounds massive when moving up (I was moving up from 32")

get the big one and make sweet love to it lol

Alright! Thanks. My livingroom is big enough for a 55 thats not a problem. Now I just move my chair infront of the tv. My only worry was that it might be a bit to big. But if a 73 inch isnt to big a 55 isnt eighter.
And I should have know bigger is better.
            Thanks for the reactions

It can be too big though. Like they've said, it depends on how far away you plan to sit.

Also, keep in mind, when you get a TV 45' or bigger always turn on 'Game' mode, if available on your TV. It removes imput lag. Samsungs have this feature, not sure if other TVs do.

Im looking at the new vizio m series. With 3d theater (for the wife) 1080p 240hz. Not sure if theres a gaming feature on it. But I saw someone gaming on the 65 inch version.

Edit: I just read theres a gamingfeature on it

Doesn't it make the picture downgrade when on?

I have a 70in thats on game mode when I game and to be honest I dont notice a reduction in picture quality. If there is its minimal.
