I'm not sure I fully understand the concept of these machines.

Do they add anything for a user who already had their PC connected to their TV or streams their HDMI to their TV?

Steam Box getting a controller too.

Not sure how I feel about this...don't like separating the 4 buttons from the right pad. Makes you move your thumb off the movement pad to do more stuff.

Also not sure I like the trackpads or not, we'll have to see once we can experience it.

Could be awesome, could be terrible.

Yeah, less underwhelming than the Machines announcement, but I have little desire to buy or user that controller aside from idle curiosity.

Will be interested in impressions, but it's not going to be at a price to impulse buy or make me want to replace an aging wired 360 controller on my PC.

Maybe someone can 'hack' it into something like an oversized Dreamcast controller, or a PS4 controller w/ touchscreen.

Exactly. I'd be more likely to get a wireless PC adapter so I can use 360 wireless vs. wired before I got this controller.

I'm firmly entrenched in the "Legacy controllers we have are better." (basically the X360 and I'm assuming the XBone controllers here.)

However, I am willing to keep an open mind. I'll give the controller a shot (there's no reason *not* to) before making up my mind about it. It looks a bit crazy and off-putting at first glance though.
