PS4 uses 8.8 watts in standby. Around here, that equals $3.86 per year. Mine will stay in standby.

I have had mine in standby but a quick power outage hit and it took 3 times to reboot correctly. Since then, I turn it off.

That could have been the case as well if it was off.

Since buying mine, albeit not much more then a week ago at best, Ive had it in standby without an issue.

I turn mine off. As usually I only play when the wife is at work so I rarely play it on two separate occasions in a short period of time that would warrant me leaving it on standby.

Standby when I know I'm going to play it's again later in the day.

Off when it's my final gaming for the night.

Not sure what's the difference as the booting up time seems to be the same.
