So I have a hd tv but the hdmi port is not a usb it looks like a cpu hookup with the two pin prongs on the side you can screw in or I have a dvi hookup that looks like a svideo hookup. can I hookup either system to my tv? Or do I have to buy I new tv. Money is kinda low keep in mind. thanks

Sounds like you don't have a HDMI port, you have VGA and DVI or S-Video (or some combo of those). Can you take a picture to clarify for everyone maybe?

I'm not sure if there's a HDMI to DVI adapter or anything like that for you...not sure how your TV would get the sound aspect either, so just seems odd to me.

There are adapters, can't say how well they work. Keep in mind if you go from HDMI to DVI you're losing audio, so need to make sure you're using optical or something to your TV or receiver.

I have this set up with my ps3 and an hd monitor. Get a hdmi to dvi cord. Then i do sound through the red/white connectors. I believe the ps4 only has digital optical.

I heard the ps4 has a option to plug headphones in. So I could use the adapter for video and jus plug in my headphones for sound correct?

Yeah the headphone jack in the controller is pretty awesome for guys that game on a monitor and lose that sound.

HDMI to DVI-D cords are pretty cheap. I think you have to make sure it is DVID with HDCP.

Xbox One has DVI listed as an option in the display settings so it supports DVI.
