Contemplating switching to PS4 for Madden

As a long time Xbox owner i've recently began considering a PS4 for the new release instead of for the XB1.

I currently own an XB1, but lets face it, my wife has made it her netflix, DVD, etc machine, which quite frankly is semi nerve racking to me.

Anyhow, am i going to have a huge problem logging in my EA account info on a new machine? I really want things to work seamlessly, but since i have my 360 and XB1 running my GT, is this going to create issue.

I'll be playing online CFM, and I will want to access my franchise via the web.

I'm one button click away from the purchase, but might now, just wait until tomorrow after i see how Madden looks on the EA Access release.

Being a long time NCAA fan, i figured what the heck, get a new game hobby, get it going on a new gaming console. Everything brand new like.

What ever input, xbox guys and ps guys much appreciated.

Oh, and by the way, i did have a PS3, but played it likely 10 times ever, mostly due to me busy with NCAA on my 360. I'm a football gamer almost strictly.

Who bought the Xbox One, you or your wife? If you bought it, then I think you should probably talk with her and explain that you'd like to use it for the reason you purchased it ... to play video games. Seems unnecessary to spend $400-plus on another console.

Or you could stay happily married! $400 is cheaper than marital counseling!!

Oh I get that, trust me. Guess I'm just used to my wife having nothing to do with my gaming systems. She'll watch Netflix, but usually only when I'm home. When I go on the road for work I have to leave detailed instructions on how to use the PS3 for her to watch. Even then I'll get calls asking how to pause a show or something silly like that.

To answer your question, BAH, no you won't have any issues accessing your EA account; it's tied into your email address, not gamertag. I have different tags on my 360 and PS3 and can access the EA servers just fine.

I don't have either system yet, but I've heard the PS4 controllers are a nice improvement from the Dual Shock 3's.

I got a 2nd Xbox One for the bedroom in my case. One thing to consider is the Xbox Live/ PS+ subscriptions. I decided to go cheaper and only have one console to save money on all that.

We also like the kinect tv controls and all that, but that's separate.

Just look at finances and consider them....another system is more money a year.

i used to have that luxury, but once she started sniffing around my gaming boxes, it's like she picked one, and uses it,,,,,,A LOT! it's not that i care that she uses it, but i like my games to be certain not to be tampered with.

say what you will, i do like to have things that are my own.

playstation was free but on ps4 they went the route of xbox and u have to pay to play online now.

                  playstation+ is a yr subscription u have 3 different choices $9.99 a month $20 for 3 months or $50 for the yr.

and since u play online cfm u would need PS+ u don't for offline cfm.

Plus is $10 cheaper, and you'll need it to play online with the PS4. You don't need a Plus subscription for online gaming on the PS3.

On the PS4 to play online you need a PS+ membership. $50.00 per year and in my opinion a much better value then xbox live, and thats coming from a former 11 year xbox live gold subscriber. The library of A+ games I've got for Free on my PS3 over the past two years is more then I got from live in 11 years. I'm sure this trend will continue on the PS4.

There are deals on PS+ subscriptions all the time. Right now, Newegg is selling a year for $40.

Have to look into ps+. Didnt even know about it, thanks for the heads up.

EDIT: is ps+ something i can just purchase during the initial setup process? Assuming so.

You also get free games each month with the PSN I don't know if Xbox live offered that.

Look in the box, I think there's a PS+ trial code that comes with the system.
