Was recently browsing through Groupon and came across this.Has me kinda intrigued to get into retro gaming of games that I loved such as TMNT: Hyperstone Heist, RBI Baseball 93, Sonic, Road Rash, Streets of Rage, etc.Anybody have this?Is it worth the $40 bucks and how is it?

I saw something about this on hear and I acctrucly saw this in target a few weeks back. I would say for only 40 why not? The only thing is I already have the sonic games on game cube so I am not sure how many other games I would want that are on it.

I take back what I just said. I was just looking at amazon and looks like it cant save games witch is very stupid and just looks like it is not while made.

My wife bought me one of these last year for Christmas. The range on the wireless controllers is terrible. You're better off buying an original Genesis wired controller and using that (they are compatible). You can also buy cartridges and play them on the machine, but I've found that not all work.

The "80 games" is misleading, too, as half are generic games.

I enjoy mine and it's fun to play from time-to-time, but I don't know if I'd recommend anyone buying it.

The reviews I've read haven't been too favorable. Your best bet is probably to locate an actual SEGA Genesis.

I still have my original genesis console. Haven't fired it up in quite some time though.

I remember throwing my original Sega Genesis(and 32X) away after my freshman year of college. I put it directly in a dumpster. It was in perfect working condition. I was going home for the summer and had no room for it and I couldn't give it away because Playstation and N64s were the hotness; Dreamcasts were on the way. Still makes me sad to this day.

Once we moved on to PlayStation and N64 Mom put ours in a brown paper shopping bag with our games and set them with the trash. I remember watching the trash guys look inside and put the bag in the cab. At least I know it lived on.
