how do u close an app or game on xbox one

That's usually what you do, just switch between them. On the home page you can hit the Menu button and Quit an app specifically, but I only have to do that if I'm having issues with it

If you need to explicitly close an app, exit it (xbox button) then hit the menu and close application.

Useful when you're making sure you don't eat up EA Access trial time in standby or something.
