So I splurged and spent 5K on gaming PC/Monitor

I went ahead and bought parts to build my pc and including the monitor I spent close to 5 thousand dollars

    I got the following

    CPU I9 9900K
GPU Asus Strix OC RTX 2080Ti
Mother Board ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming
    RAM G.Skill Trident Z Royal RGB 16GB 4 x 8GB DDR4-3200
CASE Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower Computer Black
EVGA SuperNOVA G3 750 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX
Samsung 970 Pro 512GB MLC NAND M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe
    Baracuda 2TB 7200 RPM HDD
NZXT Kraken X72 360mm RGB Water Cooling Kit
    ASUS ROG Swift PG27UQ 27" 4K UHD 144Hz DP HDMI G-SYNC HDR

Gaming has been a joy and playing Madden has been awesome as well but my question for you PC heads is the following

I max out Madden easily but feel the 4k AA it uses is not good and you can still see jaggies on facemasks and around the stands. Total eye soar but started to mess with NVIDIA control panel and you can make changes to each game and I put 8x for various AA that is not in the actual game. WOW the difference is amazing and the jaggies are gone. Madden looks so dam realistic now it is crazy.

My question is that the FPS do not drop even with putting 8x AA from within NVIDIA panel and wonder if is just my imagination or do these settings actually work?

First off congrats. Second, Madden is no where near a demanding game. Third, make sure you update your drivers for everything: graphic card, motherboard, etc. And yes those settings actually work. But keep in mind, you playing Madden, you not going to drop frames playing Madden with a 9900K and 2080ti.

You want to test your system, play some demanding games like: Far Cry 5, Anthem, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Shadow of The Tomb Raider, Battlefield 5.

I know the game is not demanding, but I feel that the jaggies even at max settings and 4k are crap. I started to change the NVIDIA settings for Madden and added 8x for AA and other AA options and it improved the image a ton. But the FPS are taking big hits now. From 98fps down to 59

My monitor does 144hz but I do 98hz because that is how you get true HDR with my monitor. In SDR i do 120hz...Never 144hz because of chroma sub sampling

In Resident Evil 2 I can max the settings at 4k and even put 8gb of texture packs and raise internal resolution to 130% and still can do 98fps easily with true HDR GSYNC

Shadow of the Tomb Raider maxed out does 58-62 fps and at times 70 fps

      Very demanding game

Nice setup, and congrats. Looks like that Monitor doesn't do HDR though

That is not my monitor, but thanx for the input

What constitutes the ultimate gaming monitor? How about Ultra HD with 144Hz, HDR, DCI color and G-Sync. The Asus ROG Swift PG27UQ packs all that into a 27-inch IPS panel. We’re checking it out today.
