PlayStation 5 ($499) and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition ($399) - Releases on November 12 - Pre-Orders Start Tomorrow

I'm torn. I have dual-entitlement waiting on Madden but other than Demons Souls, there isn't much on the launch lineup that I'm interested in other than some PS4 back compat stuff. So I could potentially wait until late Winter '21 and the Show (that's a guess, of course) but I'd be holding that dual entitlement for a long time.

The other issue is when the PS5 will be back in stock after the initial rush calms down. I would definitely want one at least by the time Show '21 is a thing, but the question is whether it will be available then. Makes getting the preorder sound a bit more realistic.

Talked to a local Gamestop here and apparently in store preorders went up 90 minutes ago, sold out and they're only allotted 18 total units.

EDIT - Digital edition will be tougher to get, they only got 18 disc and 4 digital for preorders.

Just pre-ordered my ps5 from Walmart literally right before it sold out, got my email confirmation too.

I actually had this samething happen to me but I refreshed the pg and the ps5 was still in the cart and it allowed me to check out the 2nd time around might have been a traffic issue.

Had to wait until the January after launch to get my PS4 most likely will have to wait until January for a PS5. I wouldn't be mad if Sony feels like sending me that direct invitation to pre-order though.

After someone broke into my apartment and stole a ton of my Blu-Rays/DVD/games and original PS4 I'm skittish on owning physical media anymore. So I'm all digital from here on out, I prefer physical media but yeah losing 20 years of media is kind of disheartening.
