Playing a friend online?

I don't know if I'm just blind but I don't see an option to play Diamond Dynasty against a friend. Extra Innings is just an offline representation of them right? Not actually playing them in real time? Is there a way to challenge a friend to a Diamond Dynasty game?

I'm going to guess they don't want to allow this because you and a friend could just let eachother win games on legend difficulty or something to help get better rewards.

They should just disable rewards for those games them. I just want to play a friends team.
