What I mean is, I'm thinking about improving my pitching line up.

But does having a 20k pitcher (Bumgardner for instance) vs a discard gem like Fiers really make a difference, especially against a human opponent? Once your pitcher gets hot by making people miss online, any pitcher seems to become great.

People who own expensive pitchers, do you actually find that they make a difference in game with their stats?

A pitcher just hit a 2 run homer on My Tanaka in the second..

3 SO and a ground out then all of a sudden i cant throw a strike.

4 pitches walk. 1st potch fastball down the gut on the pitcher to re establish command and he hits it 395 feet

Yet I get perfect contact on ball after ball with good hitters and i flyout or groundout no matter what.

Sigh, doesn't make it any less frustrating having some bronze pitcher hit a homer while stanton, killebrew, and beltre flyout/groundout back to back to back.

I have a rotation of 5 guys rated 85-81. Nobody that's would scare the pants off ppl and I have a 2.11 era but that's also thanks to in part my bullpen is lights out. For me personally I do well with pitchers that have a set combination of pitches. Granted having soldid pitchers is a main thing but find the type of pitches you work best with and go with who feels good I say. I honestly feel it's 60% player 40% pitcher. Last night I faced a guy with kershaw and I knocked him around for 7 runs by the 5th.

Re: Do you guys find that pitcher's stats matter in human DD games?

In past games what seems to make pitchers effective is a combination of K/9 and having at least two off speed pitches. K/9 determines the hitters PCI size somewhat so a high K/9 pitcher will result in smaller PCI's while someone with low K/9 like Buehrle for instance give big PCI's.

So far in MLB 15 pitchers with incorrectly assigned slow changeups seem ot be most effective. i.e. Tanaka. Neshek use is rampant, but he technically throws a slow change in real life.
