Re: Best non legend catcher ?

It doesnt feel cheesey when your 99 ovl DD guy is throwing out Billy Hamilton, Dee Gordon or Jared Dyson cause they reached on a gay bunt. You will be thanking yourself later for making that smart move. Your DD will be better then any catcher. He will hit like Posey, run like Dee Gordon and field like Molina. Just saying............

Re: Best non legend catcher ?

I wonder how a left handed catcher would work out....

Re: Best non legend catcher ?

Everybody knows about the benefits of having a 99 rated arm, but don't underestimate the benefit of having a 99 speed/99 reaction catcher.

You will field bunts, choppers, and foul pop-ups way quicker, so you won't give up any cheap infield singles like a normal catcher would.

Since moving my CAP to catcher, I never give up infield singles anymore unless the auto-select lands on the pitcher and I can't switch players in time. Plus people are usually afraid to steal for the rest of the game after I throw them out the first one or two times.

How do you switch players. I have that pRoblem with the pitcher and it's one of the most frustrating aspects of the game.

Re: Best non legend catcher ?

Lucroy is a good budget catcher. He's almost as good as Posey at hitting and better defensively. He has a good balance of offence/defence.

As soon as Sony updates Lucroy's in-game ratings to match his 2015 season performance, he will suck.

In 45 AB this year he's hitting .133 with 0 HR and 1 RBI.

They really should have dropped Lucroy down below Braun and Aramis when those two players got their ratings updated two weeks ago. It's a mystery to me how Lucroy's ratings have survived untouched so far. But I wouldn't bet on them staying where they are for very long.

Maybe but as of right now, his card is pretty good price/performance wise.

No one can predict what happens in the future with any cards.
